All notecards on Supernotes, can be viewed in the 'Flashcard Layout' for revision and recall. To enter 'Flashcard Layout' on Desktop press Alt / Option + F, or press the dropdown in the top left and change your layout from there.
With an easy to use built-in FSRS spaced repetition algorithm helps you save time and only learn the things that really matter. We show you a simplified ‘Recall Probability’ score that let’s you get an quick understanding of how well you know any group of cards. And since Supernotes supports real-time collaboration and sharing you can quickly create decks of cards with your friends to help each other learn.
Getting Start with Flashcard Layout
Select a card and press Enter to edit
Add a horizontal rule - - - to split your card up into two sections, with the question above and the answer below. If no dividers are used, the card title will be used as the initial question and the card body as the answer.
Add spoilers in the first section by wrapping text with !! – great for filling in the blanks
Press Alt / Option + F to switch to Flashcards view and begin studying
Mark cards as × Again if you got them wrong, ~ Hard if you only remembered bits, ✓ Good if you got most of it right, and ✓✓ Easy if you knew it off by heart
Create Multiple Sides
Use multiple horizontal rules to create multiple sections, and cycle through them one by one in the Flashcards view. This is useful for related informations such as memorising a timeline or an acrostic.
Change your Pace
Change your pace from the Flashcard layout start screen.
You can revise your notecards in three paces, using the FSRS algorithm:
Cram Pace – review cards every three hours, learn in a few days
Standard Pace – review cards every day, learn in one or two weeks
Chill Pace – review cards every few days, learn in one or two months
Filter / Choose any Cards
The beauty of the FSRS algorithm is that chop & change which cards you want to review at anytime, and it will automatically suggest which ones you need to review. Just use the Filter dropdown within the Flashcard Layout before you start your session.
